British media company ITV plc was created in 2004, following a total of 11 mergers. Today, the group consists of three major areas: ITV Broadcast combines the various station activities.

ITV News Group bundles the firm’s news activities.

And finally, ITV Studios, together with foreign Granada affiliates in Australia, the US, Sweden and Germany, is responsible for the production area, and for distribution via its subsidiary ITV Global Entertainment.

Granada Deutschland is part of the ITV Global Entertainment area. Lee Bartlett, an American, took the helm of this branch of the business in 2008.
