KROMSCHRÖDER & PFANNENSCHMIDT GMBH

Kromschröder & Pfannenschmidt GmbH was established in 2003. Here, Christian Pfannenschmidt and Benjamin Schacht work along the lines of American-style ‘Executive Producers’ and are co-producers for the development and content of series formats and 90-minute made-for-TV films such as ‘Girl Friends’ (ZDF) and ‘Die Albertis’ (ZDF), with Network Movie (Hamburg); and the historic TV series ‘Unter den Linden’ (Sat.1), with Phoenix Film (Berlin).

Christian Pfannenschmidt and Benjamin Schacht develop material for cinematic realisation. In the US, screenwriters provide assistance throughout the entire course of the production. The duo intend to develop this model for use in Germany to create a small creative unit. Participation throughout the various creative stages of their projects is important to them, as things such as casting, the choice of location, opening credits, title music, the marketing strategy and public relations are important to them.

In August 2008 ITV/Granada purchased a 50-percent share of Kromschröder & Pfannenschmidt GmbH. Jan Kromschröder became Managing Director of Granada Produktion für Film und Fernsehen GmbH in August 2008. The headquarters of Kromschröder & Pfannenschmidt GmbH moved to Cologne in early 2009.

IMAGO TV GmbH

Imago TV produces and develops news reporting, docu-soaps, documentaries, magazine stories und entire formats for all German broadcasting organisations – public and private alike. Innovative, entertaining, close to the action and authentic. From the idea stage through to the completed series, from an initial acquaintance with the protagonist through to development of a complete portrait – each show is one-of-a-kind.

Imago TV was established in 2004 by Andrea Schönhuber and Fabian Sabo. The staff has since grown to 20 people. The head office for the company is in Berlin.
